Thanks for the bug report.  We're not sure which GCC versions have the
bug either, but instead of worrying about GCC (and MacOS!) versions we
have bypassed the problem by installing the patch described in
<http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bison-patches/2003-01/msg00047.html>
This should appear in the next Bison release.
