Debian GNU/Linux has included DDD versions linked against LessTif for years.
During the time I've maintained the Debian package of DDD there have been
some issues with LessTif, but they have all been resolved (typically by
updating LessTif or incorporating changes from DDD CVS).

Thus, a blanket statement "ddd does not work when linked with Lesstif on
Linux" is simply wrong. You may want to read
        http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html
and then submit a bug report that can help the DDD developers improve it.

RedHat != Linux

OpenMotif is not free software; distributing DDD binaries linked against
OpenMotif would violate the GPL (DDD's license). Personally, I hope DDD's
new developers will continue to keep DDD as free as it is today and not tie
it to non-free software.
