Wouldn't it be better to push the patches upstream at the same time?
Obviously making Classpath local changes is necessary if the upstream
projects won't take them, but IMHO that should be a last resort and I
can't see any reason why an upstream project *would* refuse them.
If the patches are accepted upstream the changes could still be made
locally until the next import from the upstream project, but then
there's no need to mark them to be re-evaluated every time new
versions are pulled down.
