Subject: | [gnugo-devel] Regression/Testcases |

I had quite a lot of problems to set up the
html-views, get apache server running etc.
using Suse8.2, logged in as root,
gnugo-3.5.4
right now it looks to me like some of the problems i had could be because the apache server ran with less rights than root, but i remember having tried this already some weeks ago?! - i don't know why... Please could you add some lines (not for me :) to the documentation of gnugo, containing some of the following information. ----------------------------------------------------------------
SIMPLE DESCRIPTION MAKE CHANGES TO
/etc/http/httpd.conf [skipped.... (as described in the documentation)] COPY (OR MOVE) WHOLE GNUGO-DIRECTORY TO
[/srv/www/ for example]htdocs/gnugo START APACHE
apachectl start/stop EVALUATE TESTGASES
./regress.pl blunder.tst OR ./regress.pl *.tst POINT BROWSER to http://localhost/gnugo/regression/regress.plx
(test.sh, eval.sh, regress.sh not needed for htmlviews)
(this was confusing to me) --------------------------------- Problems+solutions:
1) directory html/images exists not:
mkdir html/images 2) new testcases are not displayed:
rm html/index.html rm html/one* ./regression.plx (run once from commandline and ignore the output; works for me) 3) some board-images are not displayed:
./regression.plx endgame:850 (file:problem nr, run once from commandline and ignore the output; works for me) ----------------------------------
Also I want to make the proposal to make the calculated testcases (of any version 3.5.4/newest cvs/or older, what you have) available as a tar.gz for download, on the main gnugo developer page. (calculation takes some hours) |
