gnu-emacs-sources -- GNU Emacs source code postings and patches

About gnu-emacs-sources
English (USA)

This list (which is connected to the gnu.emacs.sources newsgroup) is for posting your Lisp code for use with GNU Emacs.
We may ask you if we can include your code in future versions of Emacs.

Do not discuss, or request, code here. Instead, use help-gnu-emacs.

If you have a patch to improve the Emacs sources, you should probably send it to emacs-devel or bug-gnu-emacs instead of here.

Other Emacs mailing lists

Please do NOT announce that you have posted source code here on any other GNU mailing list (e.g. help-gnu-emacs).
People who want to keep up with sources will read this list/newsgroup. But you might want to announce it on non-GNU resources (eg comp.emacs).

It is best to post the actual code on this list, rather than just post a link to the source. But if the code is very large, you can just link to it.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the gnu-emacs-sources Archives.
