If no one says yes, there are other utilities like psselect which do
this:
a2ps ... | psselect -p4,44,224,_2,_1 | lpr ...
(I don't know whether psselect handles duplicates, but I know if you
ask it to include page 224, and there are less than 224 pages in the
document, it just ignores it.)
