I got your latest binary, Alex, and tried fullscreen mode again.
First without doublesize: WE opens up, but the menu anim isn't played, then the
startmenu type is somewhat messed up. The intro anim plays, but with the text
on a pink background. Then when the actual playing starts, most works fine
except the occasional Pink background of writing.
Also, the smoke in the kitchen doesn't appear.
