Hiya Anat, welcome aboard!

No worries, you're on the right place. The general list receives
everything that doesn't fit into the other lists - from activity reports
to game design discussion, not to mention off-topics... :)

Well, first of all, your work is simply amazing - it'd be great to have
you in our team! Since you seem to write as well, you might be
interested in contributing in the writing/scenario section as well! Our
website (the Library section) is also a window for your Adonthellish
written inspiration.

On to more practical stuff: I suppose you have already visited this
page: http://adonthell.linuxgames.com/development/join.shtml
which contains an introduction about our way to work.

... so to complete it, here is my usual blabbering about the project
and how cool it is to work on it: :p

None of us are professionals, and we do not expect financial retribution
from Adonthell: Adonthell is a free (as in free speech) game, and it
will remain that way, although this is not incompatible with handling
some fund. The few points are very important to know and maybe new to
you if you are not much into free software:

-The game itself and its content are freely redistributable. This makes
sense since we make a game so it is played - so we don't put brakes on
its distribution. People still hold a copyright on their own work: it
is *not* public domain.

-As you have noticed, our way to work is completely internet based,
since there are people from all around the world here (mainly from
Europe and the US). Still, we insist on making a real meeting once a
year so people can get to know each other and enjoy some time together.
People working on Adonthell are motivated by the idea of developping a
game in an open and friendly atmosphere, sharing ideas and competences
with others and/or getting their name into a large, concrete project
that wants to look professionnal, even though it is done by amateurs.

-No pressure is put on developers, we all have a life besides of
Adonthell, and are developping it on our free time, for our own fun
at first. So, no deadlines, no requirements, although it is nice to know
the status of everyone! :)

I guess that's about it. Please ask if anything is unclear. By the way,
have you played Adonthell already?

Well, glad to welcome you in the team - some more hands are welcome,
especially on the graphic side since the next demo we're planning is
going to be very rich graphically. Do you plan to make in-game content
as well or will you stick to designs? (hint: smiling and doing the
"pleeeeaaaaase" eyes while asking this question ^_^)

Anyway, to paraphrase you, I hope mutual inspiration will ensue - this
would be perfectly in the spirit of the project and it's goals! :)

 Alex.
PS: Kai, the link to the team entry made me think: how about an update?
I mean, Andrew should be on it since a long time (please send your entry
to Kai!) while some other entries are obsolete.
