Draft 3 breaks on FreeBSD. It's an easy fix, but I was hoping to come back
here with that and a bit more.
Draft 4 is attached. It has that change, and the serial is bumped to 23.
That aside, it's just as well to push this. The macro isn't quite yet what I'd
call "done," but it's certainly past the point of diminishing returns by now.
