On some systems, you can't rename an open file.

Add `exec AS_MESSAGE_LOG_FD >& 2' before the `mv' and it should work.

But I suppose we need some clean-up action for conf-log.tmp.

Also, I have a slight preference for the name config.Tlog instead of
conf-log.tmp.  But maybe it's just me.
