An 85 MHz MicroSPARC II? Wow. SPECint 92 is 65.3, which means it's
about the same as a 60 MHz original Pentium for your application.
That's -- what -- 20 times slower than the cheapest PC that I can now
buy at my local computer shop?
You need to run "autoconf" on a faster machine. Sorry. (At least
"configure" hasn't slowed down much. :-)
