If writing macros were easy, the novices would do it.
They dont.  They don't because it is intimidating.
"not hard" does not imply "not intimidating".
Hence, the ac-archive sites.  But, besides, there are
the quoting "gotchas" that really do bite and are not
obvious to the casual macro copiest.
