Isn't Open Watcom Win32 based? If so, the first thing you need for autoconf to
work is a minimal POSIX/Bourne system to allow the configure script to work.
You can find such a minimal system at http://www.mingw.org/msys.shtml. MinGW
is hosted by SourceForge and you can find the files you need to download for
MSYS at http://sf.net/projects/mingw. With MSYS you should be able to
configure and use your Open Watcom binaries.
