Such a combination would necessarily have a different interface from
AC_SEARCH_LIBS, since it would need to deal with cross-compilation
issues. Either you'd have to add another argument to AC_SEARCH_LIBS,
or design a new macro. It sounds like a reasonable proposal, though.
