Now it works. Though why you would *have* to install it to check it out
is beyond me.

BTW, why doesn't the "--no-cache" option work for autoconf? That would
seem a rather logical place for it.

[dangermouse gnu] autoconf_install/bin/autoconf --no-cache
autoconf: invalid option --no-cache
Try `autoconf --help' for more information.
