I think PR 225 is fixed.  See the patch from Peter Breitenlohner
I committed on 2002-03-11.  I didn't know it was a PR.

I have nothing to say about PR 307 and the two pending depcomp
patches.  I don't understand all the issues involved in depcomp.
For instance, why does it compute dependencies in the
background?

The are a few tests which fails on SunOS and might be worth to
fix.

  ansi5      -  fixed by the yet-uncommitted patch about $MAKE -e
  ccnoco     -  PR/310
  extra6     -  fails on Tru64 too, see the discussion with Nicolas
                Joly on bug-automake.
  pr87       -  a distcheck issue I've not investigated
  pr224      -  PR/310
  subdir5    -  XPASS.  I've not looked at this one
  subobj6    -  PR/310
  yacc8      -  PR/310
  yaccvpath  -  I've not looked at it.  Another VPATH horror, I
                guess.

None of them would fail when using GNU make (with CVS Automake).
