In Automake 1.5, the distclean target and the distclean-am target do not
clean the same files. Namely, the distclean-am (which is a dependency
of maintainer-clean) does not remove the config.status config.cache and
config.log files. In short, the maintainer-clean target no longer
cleans these three files.
