We already handle this.  The new way to use AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE is to
pass automake options to it.  One of the options is "no-define", which
acts like the old 3rd parameter to AC_INIT_AUTOMAKE.  It was a
mistake, all those years ago, not to require a specific word to be put
there.
