Hi Folks,

Greetings from the GNU Volunteer Coordinators[0].

There's an item in the GNU task list[1] that reads "Rewrite Automake
in Scheme, so it can run in Guile. Right now it is written in Perl..."
This task has been in the task list for longer than I've been involved
with GNU (i.e., more than a decade), is it still needed? Has someone
accomplished this yet? Do you still think it's something that you
want to do? I'd be happy to keep it; I just want to check if it's
still relevant.

Thanks,
Toby
