[avr-chat] sample code for ATmega48? |

My AVR-ISP2 and an ATmega48 (20-pin DIP package) just arrived from
Digikey. I'm on my way!
I've already downloaded and built the latest avrdude, and the
cross-compiler will be next. But there are a lot of steps in between
me and my first blinky light of success. I'm wondering if anyone can
shorten that path a bit, with a sample program that would easily and
clearly demonstrate successful programming of the ATmega48.
Ideally, this would be something I could get in both source code and
compiled (hex?) form, so that with the latter, I can first try skipping
the compilation step and go directly to avrdude. Then I can go back
and add compiling.
A good test program would be something that, say, sets all output pins
of the chip to high for 3 seconds, then low for 3 seconds, and repeats.
That's slow enough that I would be able to see it happening even with a
simple voltmeter. All I'd need to do, as I understand it, is hook up
the power and ground lines, and the programming lines, and I should be
able to see it functioning.
Anybody have something like that?
Thanks,
- Joe
