I found some debugging commands described here:

Would this be enough to create cheap-parport-JTAG-dongle in-PC
software version of AVR JTAG ICE?
Maybe in principle everything is known already but Olimex JTAG ICE
clone ($40 or so) is cheap enough that nobody cares to make it even
cheaper? (So it is not a question of $300 or so for the original one.)
