[Axiom-developer] --patch-49

[root]

--patch-49 fixes --patch48 which used the wrong version of GCL.

this version works on debian (on the axiom-risc server).
please test it on other versions.

i tried to incorporate the debian patches from Camm but
they lack explanations so i am not sure why the changes 
are necessary.

this has been updated on arch, sourceforge and savannah.
