As a FYI for posterity or something that can be included in the admin manual, here are the steps I had to go through to make Bayonne 1.2.6 run as user x, group x: * chown x.x /dev/shm/.bayonne [tmpfs in bayonne.conf] * chown x.x /tmp/.bayonne * chown -R x.x /share/sys/bayonne/bayonne/var [runfiles in bayonne.conf] * chown -R x.x /share/elsewhere [datafiles in bayonne.conf] And then it worked like a charm! Erik.
