I understood I could verify that the merge Stefan did give access to
both vcard pretty print functions and vcard-mode. I wasn't sure if he
wanted me to take care of the rest. I'm not opposed to it but I don't
have time right now to delve into vcard-parser.el

I understand your reluctance. But it seems to me that the analysis of
vcards and bbdb are necessarily linked. And that it might be worth
relying on existing code.
