Follow-up Comment #4:
Yes, one would expect to see +maa and then -ma. But when reading carefully
the merge dialog, the second option is to merge the master and edited project,
and to approve of each change as compared to the master project. The last bit
is important: It only approves of changes as compared to the master project.
So if a change is made in the master project, then that change is accepted
automatically, and does not show up in the approval window.
