Update of task #8948 (project bibledit):
Status: In Progress => Ready For Test
Open/Closed: Open => Closed

Follow-up Comment #1:
The new remote repository setup assistant does the testing, and if the test
passes, the stock version of git, that comes with the distribution, can be
used. If it fails, the helpfile recommends to install a version from source.
