Thank you Teus. Firefox is installed on this system as firefox3. I
added a soft link in ~/bin to point firefox at firefox3 and Bibledit-Gtk
Help now launches the browser.
The help pages use UTF-8 but there is no charset information anywhere in
the page header, so the browser doesn't know and displays strange
characters. This is not a problem on the wiki because the web server
sends the charset information in the HTTP content-type header. If I
force the browser to use UTF-8, the characters display OK but most of
the stylesheets fail to load and some other links are broken. I'll just
use the documentation at <http://sites.google.com/site/bibledit/>.
