No problem at all - the whole point of submitting patches is a) to have
them reviewed (no matter how long that review process might be), and b)
to have some sort of record of what things were submitted (as opposed to
having to dig through bug reports).

Does this review period also apply to the DOS extension choice (always
use y_tab <-> only use it if y.tab can't be used), or do you have an
opinion on that?  This looks like something that can't be cleanly
separated out, although it is system-specific.
