Akim and I have discussed including your work in release 2.5.  If we 
discover a problem with it, we might postpone until 2.6, but I'm not 
expecting that to happen.

Developing against master is probably best for now.  We can cherry pick it 
to branch-2.5 when it's ready.  If you don't have time for the cherry pick 
or don't feel comfortable doing it, we can do it.
