unfortunatly, as reported, it's quite difficult to reproduce, I'm keeping
msg that make anubis crash, but I got different behaviours with different
releases (ie a msg may crash 3.9.96, not 3.9.96-dbg, not 4.0, but another
may crash 4.0 and 3.9.96, not 3.9.96-dbg, not 4.0 with -Df, but also 4.0
with -D).

And, just checked, sadly I must forget pcre as well, and revert to the
sed-based external processor, as I got same ssegv trouble as with regex:

-*- log -*-
[27609] Getting remote host information...
[27609] Connected to localhost:25
[27609] Transferring message(s)...
[27609] malloc() failed. Cannot allocate enough memory.

on a ~10k msg plain text + .gif attachment.

btw, patch for reg_comp() failure seems to work, thanks :)
