The link to GNATS from http://sources.redhat.com/autoconf was leading
me in an endlesss loop of 404's and logins...
By having Makefile.in in CVS it is not possible currently to 'make
dist' with automake 1.4b. IIRC 1.4b is now released, but no longer
supports the --build-dir option, which is hardcoded into the
Makefile.in's in autoconf CVS.
By touching all the Makefile.am's I get it to work, but as autoconf is
one of the 'auto' tools shouldn't CVS be based at least on most recent
release of other appropriate tools? Even removing the Makefile.in's
from CVS would be a good thing IMHO.
Thanks
