Well, I did not really ask you to support this - in first place I wanted to know
whether it is supported. Seems it isn't.
Is this explicitly documented somewhere? If not it should be.
(I agree that it may not be worth the trouble now, but for various reasons
on might keep something like this in the mind when coding new stuff
for auto* ?)

There was a report about a project not "configuring" right so I asked.
We'll add a note to the install docs/FAQ/etc as well.
