Hi there,
I have a question about the configure script generated by your(?) autoconf.
Let me explain.
I build a LOT of software for various platforms that I support and am
continually having trouble with the autoconf script when it tries to find
software that I've already installed. The reason for this, I think, is that
I don't install in what one might call the "usual" places. I build on a
specific os and hardware platform and install the code in this versioned
set of directories (i.e., /usr/lsd/SunOS.5.8.sparc). Is there a way that I
can tell configure that when it looks for software that's installed, to
look at the --prefix= directories first?
Regards and thanks for your time,
George...
