AUTOCONF BUG

Hi,

I'm having what may be a bug building AUTOCONF 2.52 on a Solaris 2.6 Ultra-1 
machine. The configure
and make steps seemed rather uneventful. However, the make check FAILED on most 
cases. The first one
to fail was case 22, so I changed the testsuite script so it would only run 
case 22 so I could
provide you with a small log file. I've attached the testsuite.log file and the 
configure log file
(config.log).

I have GNU M4 installed as well as Perl 5.6.1, GNU MAKE 3.79 and GCC/G77 3.0.1.

I don't know anything about AUTOCONF and don't understand how base.at and 
similar files work. I'd
appreciate if you could offer any assistance as I'm struggling through this. I 
don't know whether
this is a bug or simply an environment thing.

I ran the following:

cd autoconf-2.52new
./configure --prefix=/apps/asd/unix/gnu/autoconf/2.52/SunOS5.6
make
make check
