Yes - we used it to specify the location of a common aclocal.m4. This
is the old kerberos 5 tree. There are now about 9 configure.in's in
the tree - but they share the same aclocal.m4. Therefore,
autoconf --localdir=(dir_with_aclocal.m4) is used - and the same argument
is passed to autoreconf to start the tree. So - yes it is used.
