I don't share this opinion: Autoconf is first here for POSIX, then for
GNU, and most importantly, so that programmers can program instead of
fighting with useless differences left between machine merely because
a standard couldn't make its mind. AFAIC, this macro is fine in
Autoconf. But I'm waiting for other opinions.
