Failed test

Hi there,

I'm running a system where the kernel has been upgraded to 2.4.19 but
I have several kernels kicking around that I boot for different
reasons.  The reason I'm using 2.2.16 now is that I can't compile
ppp-2.4 for kernel 2.4.19 because I only have glibc-2.1.3;
so I grab glibc-2.3.1 and it won't compile because I only have egcs-2.91.66;
so I grab gcc-3.2 and its test suite fails horribly, looks like makefiles;
so I grab autoconf 2.53 (I only have 2.13) and ITS self-test fails too;
so I think this is most of what you need.
Please get back to me if there's any more.

In the meantime I think I'll just go and have a little lie down somewhere...
