Hi,
In autoconf-2.57. AC_FUNC_STAT, when invoked, leads to a configure file
that prints
checking whether lstat dereferences a symlink specified with a trailing
slash... yes
checking whether stat accepts an empty string... no
The first test, about lstat(), is totally irrelevant and useless, when I'm
only interested in stat(). Could you rearrange the AC_FUNC_STAT and
AC_FUNC_LSTAT internals so that the lstat test is only done by AC_FUNC_LSTAT ?
Bruno
