./configure WARNINGs

From: David Calkins

I'm using cygwin on a Windows 2000 machine:

        $ uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-5.0 myMachine 1.3.19(0.71/3/2) 2003-01-23 21:31 i686 unknown unknown Cygwin

I'm trying to use the configure script with "Crystal Space", which is an open-source cross-platform game engine:

        http://crystal.sourceforge.net/

When running, I see the following in the output. What does this mean?

        configure: WARNING: winsock.h: present but cannot be compiled
        configure: WARNING: winsock.h: check for missing prerequisite headers?
        configure: WARNING: winsock.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result
        configure: WARNING:     ## ------------------------------------ ##
        configure: WARNING: ## Report this to address@hidden ##
        configure: WARNING:     ## ------------------------------------ ##
