Bug on Autoconf

 I am forwarding a request when using autoconf. (this happened when building 
linc-1.1.0 )

 I am using:

 Linux  2.4.18-27.8.0  (RedHat 8.0) 
 gcc (GCC) 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)
 autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.53
 autoheader (GNU Autoconf) 2.53
 automake (GNU automake) 1.6.3


 Please, let me know if you guys need any more info. or help on anything.
