Hi,

I was running ./configure with standard options on a HPUX C240, and
found a bug with a bug-report request. I have included a session
log which should provide you with enough information.

I am guessing that the _INCLUDE_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED symbol is not
defined under gcc, and therefore, the #include <sys/types.h>
does not get compiled. This then generates the fatal error.

Included is also config.log
