gettext-0.12.1 compile bugs

I am attempting to install gettext-0.12.1 on my Gentoo 1.4rc4 system. 
During the compilation, I get several instances of the below warnings:

Since I don't know what is causing them, this is about all I can say 
regarding these issues.
