Bug report while building hugs on Mac OS X (10.2.8)

While running:

./configure --exec-prefix=/Users/pf/Projects/SemanticWeb/Haskell

for 'hugs98-Nov2003' on an Apple PowerBook G4 [OS X (10.2.8)] the terminal 
displayed the following message as part of the output from configure:

checking alloc.h presence... yes
