I got the following while trying to ./configure nmap 3.30 under OpenBSD
3.1 on i386.

checking netinet/if_ether.h usability... no
checking netinet/if_ether.h presence... yes
configure: WARNING: netinet/if_ether.h: present but cannot be compiled
configure: WARNING: netinet/if_ether.h: check for missing prerequisite
headers?
configure: WARNING: netinet/if_ether.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's
result
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
configure: WARNING: ## Report this to address@hidden ##
configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------ ##
checking for netinet/if_ether.h... yes

The system is running a generic OpenBSD kernel, and is fairly barebones.
I'll be happy to provide additional information upon request; meanwhile,
the following may be useful:

configure: Generated by GNU Autoconf 2.57.

address@hidden uname -a;gcc -v
OpenBSD lavaca 3.1 GENERIC#59 i386
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-unknown-openbsd3.1/2.95.3/specs
gcc version 2.95.3 20010125 (prerelease)
