bug setting up readline

Hi,

when running configure for readline-5.0 on 

kogs1>/sw1/readline-5.0/SunOS-5.8/objs% uname -a
SunOS kogs1 5.8 Generic_117350-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-250

I get:
