Thanks for the bug report. I'd guess tests 92 and 183 failed because
of bugs in GNU m4. What version of GNU m4 are you using? E.g., what
does "/usr/local/bin/gm4 --version" output? If it's not 1.4.2, please
upgrade; there are serious bugs on Solaris sparc hosts in earlier
versions.
The other tests have to do with the Fortran compiler. Perhaps there
is a problem with your Fortran installation? Do you use Fortran
regularly? I don't have Fortran installed on my Solaris 8 box, so I
can't test that part easily.
Perhaps the simplest thing for you to do is to upgrade your GNU m4
version, and then try the latest test release
<ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.59b.tar.gz>, as I think
it has better checking for problematic Fortran installations.
