Please undo that.  The creation of these files is not portable:
mktests.sh does not work on OpenBSD, for example, because of its
grep.  I think I just reported this a couple of weeks ago.

Even if it were ok, I don't see any reason to do so *before* *a*
*release*.  It adds nothing to stability nor does it fix bugs.
