You can ignore this problem; it's due to an m4 version mismatch.
So long as you're running the latest stable version of m4 you
should be fine; this is merely a bug in the test suite.

Sorry, I don't know about this one.  Does the directory /var/tmp
exist on your host?  What is the output of "ls -ld /var/tmp/."?
