Re: configure warning for readline-5.0

Thanks for the feedback.  I had downloaded the 5.0 version from 
http://directory.fsf.org/project/readline/, where the version listed as 
most recent is 5.0, it did not occur to me I should look for a more 
recent version ;(

I've downloaded 5.2 from the home page, and configured/compiled with 
both gcc (version 2.95.3) and Sun's C/C++ suite (WShop6.2, SUNWspro) 
successfully, so the bug is indeed fixed in the latest version.
