And for those people still learning git, this is how I found it so quickly:
git log -S'simple heuristic' -- doc
then plugged in the id of the first commit into the usual gitweb address.
~ I shudder at how long the same query would have taken with CVS,
particularly since it would have required network access for the entire
hunt. Have I mentioned that I'm really enjoying git?
